Homage (or fan art) to a race from the HOMEWORLD series, the Turanics (Turanic Raiders.) The Turanics are a group of nomadic Pirates the have periodically attacked ships throughout different locations in the Galaxy, but are believed to have a strong presence just on the outskirts of the Gardens Of Kadesh. The Turanic Raiders first came into contact with the Kushan Just hours before the Great Kharakian Genocide, by discovering and attacking a Kushan research ship, the Khar Selim, just outside the kharak system. The Turanics raiders seem to be directly under the control both politically and financially by the Taiidan empire, in order to help ensure the Kushan race's demise.
