Description

A silver sword design I've been working on, hoping to turn it into a modded weapon to be used in Skyrim, but alas, still much i need to learn, (modeling, texture work, normal mapping, etc...)

Anyway, a bit of background on the sword,
Razvan is a 17th century Silver/Steel longsword that belonged to a farmer turned monster hunter who traveled through Transylvania.

___

The story of the swords origins tell of a farmer and his family moving after seeking to find his fortune in more sustainable lands, as well as recent disturbing events and murders in his last village that made him fear for his family. After discovering his wife to be a werewolf, when she had turned one night losing herself and killing and eating his two children, as well as being the one behind the gruesome deaths in nearby villages on specific nights, he had slayed her the next morning by bludgeoning her to death with a silver Candle stick. through his grief and sadness, he buried the remains of his children by the house and burned the body of his wife on his bed, resulting in the destruction of his house in flames. he took the silver candlestick and traveled far seeking refuge in a Village town across the country. he began to grow with hatred for himself and his wife, and all things undead and cursed, and began to investigate how his wife came to such a fate. discovering ties to an ancient order known as the "Court Of Wolves", a perverse cult of wolf worshipers and a haven for vampires and other cursed black and nocturnal creatures.

He began his one man crusade by using what ever money he had left to have the silver candle stick he had used to slay his wife, smelted down and made with steel, into a hallowed silver weapon made by one of the finest blacksmiths of the time, to hunt down and kill all cursed, wretched and undead. His mission for hunting down the Court Of Wolves soon became obsession and drove him to madness. It is said some nights he could be seen staying up until the until the earliest hours of the morning whispering to the blade, speaking vile black speech, curses, speaking in unknown languages, and pouring his deepest hatred upon it. His quest for the death of the Court Of Wolves, led him to travel across Transylvania and slay most of it's key leaders, priests and priestesses, hundreds of it's followers and cultists, and the sympathetic vampires and refugee werewolves it brought in its wake, as well as bringing them into toppling its diplomatic grip on the key cities and holds of Transylvania, and pushing them almost into its own destruction.

His Exploits against the Court Of Wolves were so merciless and cruel that some say that the holy blade Razvan, was as wretched a creation as the beasts it once slain.

100 years later, the blade believed to be lost, along with the remains of the monster hunter. The remains of the sword, Now believed to be another myth and story of the past, was to be discovered and come into the possession by a young adventurer ( here futurefavorite.deviantart.com/… ) from Lithuania seeking her fortune in her travels. believing it to be a mere relic worth auctioning off, Little did she know of its importance in shaping the history of the entire nation, and its signaling of the return of the court of wolves...

btw, the etchings on the blade and gaurd are here,

"Fie ca acest margine fi o gura de a vorbi  și ochii pentru a vedea , pentru că Eu sunt Razvan"

"Pentru a rupe legăturile blestemat"

"Pentru a aduce lumina cărora le caute"

"Ia Razvan Ia Razvan"

i'll let you figure out what it means ;)

Any way, really enjoyed this, tried to make this sword realistic, based on real measurements and stats, as well as legitimate materials and such. enjoy!
