Jumping Man by FutureFavorite Jumping Man by FutureFavorite
Gradients. lots of em. makes nice shading though.

I can safely say that this is my current favorite drawing ive done so far....just throwing that out there...

any way first piece in a while so glad to finally knock one out.

Original design that went through 5 stages of concepts and redesigns before i got something i liked. i took ALOT of ideas from MrJumpManV4's SAU's (standard articulation unit) and there functions as well as certain parts. Jumping man was originally supposed to be a massive SAU walker. but as redesigns came he got smaller and smaller. until i decided on a good ol' infantry drone.

the Khayal MPLCAU (Multipurpose Lower Class Articulation unit) "Jumping Man" is a remote controlled via neural link drone who derives from its massive 6 story cousins. Mainly used for infantry, and corporate security some have been used to tactical espionage as well as finding use in the fields of cyber-information warfare, Especially being produced by Hebrew based company Khayal, a robotics and defense contracting firm that's in direct competition with Northern american robotics and security firm, NINE-CORP.

it gains its name from the incredible agility and frog/monkey like jumps and movements it can achieve with its nimble lightweight body frame. Jumping man is one of the first MPLCAU to have a fully fuctional Kinetic weaved Muscle system grafted into the doll-ball joints and the axial hard line of the unit, giving it its easy maneuverability and deadly QCQ/hand 2 hand combat ability.

SAU. MPLCAU. and NINECORP are copyright of MrJumpManV4 2012.

Drawing is copy right of FutureFavorite 2012.

Great job, I like the aggressive profile and geometry. But what makes it really outstanding is the excellent logo design and presentation.

i'm a little late but i'm starting work on this now. lots of challenging shapes on this one, that and some details i'll have to make up like what is behind the vest and what the back looks like.

just noticing now how well done the hands are. gonna have a bit of trouble here making that 3D =/

Reminds me of a Next Gen Proto that was meant to be able to walk up stairs and over obstacles. It had to be light and small enough to be able to be deployed by infantry. Usually from a Hummer or something.

A device like this would be great for ride alongs and bomb disposal as well.

Yes, it's lightweight and doesn't offer much in terms of armor.
I wanted a realistic depiction of a humanoid combat drone. One who could use conventional weapons and gear, yet light enough and strong enough to be customized without sacrificing too much in terms of utility.

The robot itself is mainly remote controlled by a user, if the user is of line an AI kicks in and takes over basic combat and maneuverability functions. The AI isnt easy to Hack. At all. Almost impossible being an defense contracting company robot, but it always has a fail safe user controller that will never fail in any situation.

Bomb disposal and hazard environments I think would be a BIG plus for humanoid robots. Especially rescue forces. Like a burning house, such robot could quickly run in and save civilians an such without worrying about radiation or smoke and such.

I love the design, it is a great mix of sophistication and utility. I always like seeing humanoid robots using and wearing human purposed equipment, so this one looks very spiffy to me with his vest and holster.

thanks! exactly what i was aiming for. originally it was supposed to be attachted to the robot but i though for easier customization just to have it apparelized.

Love the design though. This is what M.A.R.S. in Blacklight: Retribution should have looked like. I wish more people did polyhedral/odd shaped heads/helmets like this. They always end up looking pretty rad.

Hahaha! oh man what a typo. my bad.

thanks! eyeah i heard about that. i liked the idea of a humaniod tactial infantry robot. especially one thats humaniod not some wheeled RC with a gun strpeed on. I was originally going to make the pouches actually part of the bot but decided just for utilitarian purposes and simplicity to just include on the vest. as do i my friend!

Well robots dont need helmets. so i try not to always shjape there head like a humans. i mean this ones got a face plate that might stop a bullet or two but you know.

dude, so pro, so pro. if i didn't have finals tomorrow i would spend all night making this 3D.
I still like your feline assassin more but this is definitely your second best, the quality of the drawing is by far your best though.

BTW, did i make the acronym for MPLCAU? i forget some of my own storyline stuffs a lot.
